Annual Conference of the Armenian Thyroid Association

At the Annual Conference of the Armenian Thyroid Association, which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel 🏨, the latest approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases were presented. The head of the Interventional Radiology Center, Aramais Galoumian, who is the founder of the minimally invasive treatment of thyroid nodules in Armenia, along with surgeon Aram Badalyan, presented the report "Revolution in the Treatment of Thyroid Nodules Without Surgery — Thermal Ablation" 💉🩺. During the presentation, they detailed the advantages of the ablation method, noting that it allows for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules without surgery and, in some cases, small malignant nodules as well. The advantages of ablation compared to surgical methods were presented: no recovery period, no scarring on the neck, and no need for lifelong medication 🏃‍♀️💪. Aramais Galoumian emphasized that this method is widely used in developed countries and opens new opportunities not only for treatment but also for improving patients' quality of life and the safety of the intervention 🌟🔬.
